And Spotify still has Maasym VS YOUTHCLUB remix mislabeled as the Amen Vortex 6 remix

Does somebody know how they come to the idea of the "∆" in their name? Was this just for some kind of optical amusement or does it have a deeper meaning? And more important: How is ∆aimon actually pronounced correctly? Just like "amen"? I'm listening to them for quite a while on Bandcamp now. Basically quite great and atmospheric music and I'm really tempted to buy some of their stuff, but I find the female vocals somewhat annoying to be honest.

Well... 4 years late! Probably by now you already know it, but if there is someone out there who still has your same question; the "triangle" figure "∆" isn't an "A", it's the greek letter Delta, so it is pronounced like regular "D", in this particular case: "Damon". Anyway the pun Damon/Demon/Amon/Amen is absolutely intentional.

Well, Seraphim gives a bad start into the album but from there on it just gets better. Definitely a good album, like it.

I didn't LOVE it upon first listen like amen and FLATLINER, but I agree with Baletempest below me about it being more emotive, broader, and deeper. Every time I listen to it I find something else to love about it. The vocals are one of my favorite things about the release. This is the full-length I've been anticipating for years. I do prefer my witch house to be a lot more abrasive but that's just my personal taste - plus, ∆AIMON are doing their own thing, not just following a strict definition of witch house, if they even want to be called that themselves.

Well I liked it... eventually. It took a few listens to grow on me and while it doesn't have the gloom of Amen or the otherworldliness elements of Flatliner, it's in many ways a rawer, more emotive album with a broader, deeper sound (seriously I'm on my 5th play through and still finding new elements in every song). I know the band reads this but screw it, I really, really like this album (not as much as Flatliner) and haven't seen anyone else make this point. Seperat0r: Honestly, listen again, all the things you liked are still there just mixed differently.

welp that's definitely hard to read considering how much of ourselves we put into making the album exactly what we wanted it to be. for what it's worth, we're still very proud of all our releases, and thankfully the response to this album has been extremely favorable. regardless, we wouldn't have done anything differently...

And to be clear: I didn't even expect them to follow the witch house brand and elements. I wanted them to set themselves apart by making the over-produced, proto-gothy, darkwave (?), ritualistic sound that they had been doing. Aimon was great because they weren't afraid to be a bit cheesy, a bit off-putting to people looking through the witch house bin, expecting shattered noise and synths and instead finding a more nostalgic and structured, almost pop-studio approach to music designed for its gothy atmosphere. It was defiantly goth, goth-revivalism, not goth for suburbia, not goth for middle-schoolers. This is for the vamp kids from South Park. I cringed my way through this album, and I mean, I listen to some corny shit, man. FUCK. I'm really upset about this.

Wow, I'm sorry, but this new album is fucking garrrrrbage. They killed their sound. They removed every great element present on Amen and Flatliner and ruined the songs that they remade. I don't understand. I've loved Aimon for years and I was always anticipating an amazing full length album someday, but this is a total letdown. The guy's voice is corny as fuck (it was always corny, but they altered it to be really awesome before), her voice doesn't have the same gravity as it used to. They got rid of all the fuzz and most of the definitive witch house elements. This is a joke right? Please tell me I downloaded a fake album. Please tell me that this is not the direction they're going in. This is Hot Topic music. This is for mallgoths. I hate bashing a band that I should be giving the benefit of the doubt but this album is entirely, purely, subjectively, objectively BAD.

[artist]Haujobb[/artist] remix of FLATLINER is great. I prefer the cold side of witch house as opposed to the rap hip hop side.

Good stuff, even not so great. Exspecially Maasym is truly an awesome track. But my enthusiasm about all this Witch House trend is limited by the consideration that acts like raison d'etre, In Slaughter Natives and all the CMI catalog had this sound (even if less electronic) in the middle '90s!
