Nanda Collection is Kyary’s second full album. The title is a play on words, combining the Japanese phrase “nanda kore” (What the heck?) and the English word “collection”. The album was released in two versions: Limited CD+DVD Edition and Regular CD Only Edition. The Limited Edition came with a photobook.
The song Kurakura was featured in KFC’s Krushers CM, while Noriko to Norio was used to promote au in a CM also starring Gouriki Ayame. Mi was also adopted as the CM song for Glico’s “Ice no Mi” product. After the album was released, Otona na Kodomo was picked up as the CM song for Suzuki.
Nanda Collection debuted at #1 on Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking, giving Kyary her first weekly #1. The album also had the best first week sales of any solo artist in 2013 as of July. It is currently certified as PLATINUM by the Japan Record Association.
