Moshimoshi Harajuku is Kyary’s debut mini-album. The mini-album came in two editions: a limited edition with a photobook and a regular edition.
The lead-in song for the mini-album, "PONPONPON", was released as a digital single on July 20, 2011. "jelly" was released as the mini-album's second advance digital single on August 3, 2011; it is a cover of the song "jelly" by capsule.
The mini-album’s title comes from Kyary and Nakata’s idea of creating an album title that even foreigners could understand. The words kawaii and konnichiwa were eventually trumped by moshimoshi, meaning “hello” when speaking on the phone.
In 2012, the album won an award for “Best Album Cover”.
