Mamono (マモノ) is an Indies Horror Punk Metal band from Chiba, Japan (although they usually perform in Tokyo). The current line up consists of LW-O7 C.C.R. (Charles Chucky Rayblood, or Chucky for short) on guitar and vocals, N:A:N:A-XVIII (Nana) as performance vocals, Die=ko on bass, Shimura Sword (Sou) and ナムーアハレルソン(Namu Harrelson)-Jacky-Rayblood (Namu) alternating on guitar, and Jeanne Bell Aile Blesse/J. Bell Aile B. (Aile) on drums. While they label themselves as a Horror Punk Metal Band, Mamono is also associated with shironuri (white paint), a group of Japanese bands that paint their faces white and often sing about macabre themes or perform skits. This sub-group of bands is also related to the Japanese genre termed Visual Kei.
Mamono formed in 2000, following the 1999 incarnation called Kemono which included Chucky and Die=ko in its line up. Mamono's past releases can be found in their website's gallery, their latest release being the maxi single Daisanji (大惨事) on July 20, 2007.
