Mikuni Shimokawa (下川みくに, born March 19, 1980 in Shizunai, Hokkaido, Japan) is a female J-Pop artist and former member of Checkicco. In 1999 she started her solo career, and has became popular mainly between anime fans. She is famous for vocal contributions to anime such as Full Metal Panic (opening and ending songs for all three seasons), Grenadier, Kino's Journey, Gensomaden Saiyuki and Hunter x Hunter.
In addition to her vocal talents, Mikuni can also play the piano.
