Ice Creamusume (Bing Qi Lin Shao Nu Zu) ,アイスクリー娘。 were formed from the winners of the Taiwan Hello! Project New Star Auditions; an audition aimed at recruiting new Taiwanese members to join Hello! Project in order to continue the groups expansion into Asia, similar to that of Morning Musume members Li Chun and Qian Lin. The auditions started in 2007 and the winners were announced in September 2008. Due to them being Taiwanese (speaking Chinese) and being under a Japanese group, they will sing in a mixture of Japanese and Chinese.
As the winners were announced, they proceeded to travel to Japan to undertake singing and dancing lessons and to begin recording their first mini-album, to be released in early 2009. The music video for Lian Ai Deng Chang was released in Taiwan on New Year's Eve.
On January 9th Ice Creamusume released their first mini-album 1st Best! in Taiwan (January 18th in Japan). The mini-album is set to cover Morning Musume's hit singles like Renai Revolution 21 (恋愛レボリューション21, Renai Revolution 21?) (translated to "Love Revolution 21") under the title of Lian Ai Ge Ming 21 (戀愛革命21, Lian Ai Ge Ming 21?) and other Morning Musume songs, and also features an original track Lian Ai Deng Chang (戀愛登場, Lian Ai Deng Chang?) (roughly translated to "Entering Love").
Ice Creamusume are to make their concert debut at the Haro☆Pro Award '09 ~Elder Club Sotsugyou Kinen Special~ concerts, which are the concerts to commemorate the Elder Club graduation.
Each member of Ice Creamusume represents a flavour of Ice Cream.
