I miss him so much, they announced his death the day my grandfather died. I was already emotional that day and it really struck me. Rest in peace Sakamoto San

I still don't feel strong enough to listen to 12 again. as if I'm not ready to say goodbye.

He had an exhibit at The Space in Mahattan that I saw a few months ago. He had already passed by this time and the exhibit was VR, where he would appear, playing the piano and various installations would come and go. Did not expect to cry, but I did. I suppose it had a profound effect on me or something..

https://youtu.be/SZqEtvLj03U This is a yoyo performance which is dedicated to those who are still in the warfields, to those who are fighting for their family and country, to the anti-war Ryuichi Sakamoto. Do you remember that Christmas? It's Love. It's Peace. It's Anti-war. Life is short, Art is long. Merry Christmas, Mr Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Listening to him for the first time. "12" is stunning so far. Any recommendations for his albums?

You started with 12, so the next logical step would be to continue with Async, Out Of Noise and then BTTB. And so as not to forget his electronic beginnings (remembering that he was one of the members of the Yellow Magic Orchestra), I encourage you to listen to the unmissable Thousand Knives and B-2 Unit. Once you've got your ears used to Sakamoto, you'll need to delve into Esperanto, Neo Geo and Left Handed Dream.

it feels kind of crazy to learn that he actively compiled a playlist for his own funeral, and i'm not sure how to feel that we're able to hear it – especially so soon. but here goes
