Mioko Yamaguchi(山口美央子), born March 22, 1959, is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She had a brief singing career between 1980 and 1985 during which she released three studio albums and one best of. Her fans referred to her as “synth utahime” due to how her vocals blended with the synthpoppy sound. From mid-80's on, she withdrew to the background to compose songs for other singers including Miki Imai, Masayuki Suzuki, and Yuki Saito.
In 2017, 月姫, 夢飛行, and NIRVANA were reissued on CD. In early 2018, the tracks 恋するバタフライ and ANJU, from the best of album ANJU. In late 2018, Mioko released her comeback album,トキサカシマ (Tokisakashima).
