徳永英明 (Tokunaga Hideaki, born February 27, 1961 in Yanagawa, Fukuoka Prefecture) is a ballad pop singer-songwriter and actor. He released his first album "Girl" in 1986. He has, as of 2021, released 18 main studio albums, the most recent being "Love Person" and 6 cover albums. He's most famous for his songs 輝きながら… (1987 - #4), 風のエオリア (1988 - #4), 最後の言い訳 (1988 - #4), 夢を信じて (1990 - #3), 壊れかけのRadio (1990 - #5), Wednesday Moon (1991 - #1) and LOVE IS ALL (1991 - #3). He's the first male artist to have at least one album to top the Oricon weekly charts for four decades (80s, 90s, 00s and 10s)
Hideaki Tokunaga has since found enormous success and popularity with his "VOCALIST" ballad cover albums released from 2005 to 2015. It consists of his renditions of female japanese songs.
