Biography
輕描淡寫 (aka QMDX) roughly translates to ‘Understate’, a mysterious producer currently based in Iceland. Her trademark style of tender melodies and beautiful crafted emotional builds have cultivated a dedicated following since her genre-defining EP release ‘小圈子’ in 2017. With diverse influences from post-rock to Chinese folk music, QMDX’s delicate compositions and organic instrumentation make her an unlikely fixture in the underground electronic scene, yet her immersive and somber soundscapes make her a consistent fan favourite.
Her long awaited follow-up took shape as a collaborative release with Kuroi Ame ‘眼泪含泪’ in late 2020, and her much anticipated solo record follow-up is due in 2022.
