Biography

Satomi Takasugi (高杉さと美, born July 11, 1985 in Tokyo) is a 25-year-old ex-gravure idol, race queen and current solo singer on Rhythm Zone. She is also a former member of the avex girl group wi☆th.

She made her unofficial solo debut at last year's Rhythm Nation concert, performing a cover of Yoshiyuki Ohsawa's "Soshite Boku wa Tohou ni Kureru," however she officially debuted with her first solo single, "Tabibito," on June 6th, 2007. The release was followed by her second single, 'Hyaku Renka/Tooku Hanaretomo', a double a-side in October, and her third single, also a double a-side, 'Yukiboshi/Soshite Boku wo Tohou no Kureru', in December. She released her fourth single, 'Issho ni', and her debut album, 'garden', together on February 20, 2008.

In April of 2008, she teamed up with Ishii Tatsuya to record the single 'Mahou no Kagi ~ The Dream Goes On', which was used as the Disney Land 25th Anniversary theme song. She followed this release with another solo single, 'Arigatou', in June. Two more singles followed for the year: 'RELATION~Ano Kaze o Tadotte~' in August, and 'Tears in the Sky' in December.

Her second album, 'Prism', was released on March 25, 2009.
