Biography

EvoL (Korean: 이블, Effective Voice of Ladies) was a five-member girl group from South Korea created by 조PD under the label Stardom, and unofficially disbanded in 2015. The group's original line-up consisted of Jucy, J-DA, Hayana, Say and Yull. They released their debut EP and music video for the track "우린 좀 달라" on August 10, 2012. They made their comeback with second mini album "Second EvoLution" in March of 2013, with title track "Get Up".

In the summer of 2013, Jucy released a mixtape, and in May of 2015, she joined the cast of Show Me The Money (seasons 2 and 4), only to be eliminated very early on in the competition.

In 2015 it was revealed that Say's contract had expired and she had chosen to leave the group while still being a part of Stardom Entertainment. At the same time, an expose was written by angry fans detailing how the group had been forced to perform in Malaysian malls to very small audiences and no pay - while Say was exempted from performing due to alleged favoritism from Cho PD - and that the group had basically been in limbo after the departure of Block B from the company, as Block B had been the major money-makers for the label and without them, there was not enough funds to support the other artists.

Soon afterwards it was revealed that J-DA, Hayana and Yull had had their contracts terminated without their knowledge or consent during a merger of Stardom Entertainment and Hunus Entertainment, thus effectively disbanding the group.
