9MUSES (Hangul: 나인뮤지스), also known as Nine Muses, was a South Korean girl group under Star Empire Entertainment. In their final lineup, the group consisted of 5 members: Sungah (성아), Kyungri (경리), Hyemi (혜미), Sojin (소진), and Keumjo (금조).

9MUSES debuted in 2010 with the single: Let's have a party, with the title track "No Playboy". Shortly after their debut, Jaekyung, Bini, Rana, and Euaerin were announced to be leaving the group. Euaerin later decided to return to the group.

The group came back in 2011 with "휘가로 (Figaro)", which was received more positively. It was revealed that their company had nearly decided to rename them "Sweet Candy", due to fears that people would become confused as to why a group called "9MUSES" only had seven members. In 2012, Kyungri was added to the group lineup in time for their comeback the same year, "뉴스 (News)".

In 2013, Sungah was added to the group line up, thus completing the group, with 9 members. In the same year, the group had 4 comebacks, with their 3rd comeback having the group release their first full-length album, Prima Donna. The group promoted 돌스 (Dolls) from their third extended play DOLLS in January, 와일드 (Wild) from their fourth EP Wild in May, 건 (Gun) from their first full-length album Prima Donna in October, and 글루 (Glue) in December.

In 2014, Star Empire announced that members Lee Sem, Eunji, and Sera had graduated from the group. The company announced there would be a comeback in August of that year with a new member.

In 2015, two new members, Keumjo and Sojin, joined the group. They released their fifth EP in January of that year, DRAMA, with the single 드라마 (DRAMA). The group came back 6 months later in July with the EP 9MUSES S/S EDITION, with 다쳐 (Hurt Locker) as the title track. They would release one more EP in the same year, LOST, in November with the single 잠은 안오고 배는 고프고 (Sleepless Night).

In 2016, members Euaerin and Minha graduated from the group, following the expiration of their contracts. Later in that year, Hyuna also decided to graduate the group, due to contract expiration. The group came back as a sub-unit in August, Nine Muses A, which consisted of Kyungri, Hyemi, Sojin and Keumjo with the single album Muses Diary.

In 2017, it was announced that the line-up for Nine Muses A will be coming back as Nine Muses, with Sungah on hiatus to study music. They released their eighth EP, MUSES DIARY PART.2 : IDENTITY in June, with the lead single 기억해 (Remember).

On February 10, 2019, Star Empire released official statement on Nine Muses fan cafe that the group would be disbanded. The group concluded activities with the release of their final digital single titled "Remember" on February 14 and held fan meeting with the same title on February 24.
