Biography
A Crimson Atlantic has come a long way since its conception. Formed in early 2008, the band was a creation of lead guitarist Patrick Gosey, drummer Andrew Mallinoff, and vocalist Patrick McCleary, who had big plans for their musical project. By summer of 2008, the band had reached its full size of six members. Each member brought a unique musical taste, making A Crimson Atlantic different from the very beginning. The band developed even further in 2010 when it brought it Adam Green, a new bassist who brought a new creative edge that can be seen in their newest songs. As it exists today, A Crimson Atlantic is vocalist Patrick McCleary, lead guitarist Patrick Gosey, rhythm guitarist Jon Trosch, bassist Adam Green, synth/pianist Andrew Rammacca, and drummer Andrew Mallinoff.
Although A Crimson Atlantic eventually fits into the Pop Punk genre, there is a noticeable difference in their sound. Using a collaborative writing style, the band is able to create pop sensible songs, infused with elements of different genres and styles demonstrating the band’s musical skill. Take, for example, their newest single “Firedancing”. Released with a music video, Firedancing combines Latin guitar with Pop Punk undertones to create a fusion that’s sure to be a hit beyond its genre. The band’s progressive, open-minded style results in songs that appeal to a much larger audience than is typical for Pop Punk artists.
