Biography
A Shade of Gray are a British based Progressive Rock band, who hail from Derby. Formed in 2010, the three-piece have progressed from being University students into a dedicated act, performing live in Derby for over 2 years now. 2013 sees them releasing their first official single, written for Veronica Rossi’s best-selling publication of the same name Through the Ever Night. The trio have also recently finished a 3 track EP (with B-Sides), released internationally through Independent Digital this autumn.
The band also boasts an international line up; Pawel Gmyterko from Poland on Guitars, Vocals, Synths and production; Sam Baker, a bassist from Norfolk in England; and their Drummer, Kevin Tickell, from the shire on the border of Wales.
Their music is influenced by bands such as Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Karnivool, Coheed and Cambria, Porcupine Tree and Opeth.
