Happy 15th birthday to the most unfairly maligned AFI album. I suppose it's not as consistent as "Sing the Sorrow" in terms of sound/style, but I kinda like the fact that they just threw everything at the wall to see what sticks with this one honestly.

This is my favorite AFI album. I just love all their influences on this one. There's a taste for everyone. Sure it's not as coherent as STS, and perhaps Davey dove too deep into androgyny, but the songs are strong throughout or at least memorable. And it has some masterful tracks like Summer Shudder, The Killing Lights and Endlessly She Said, which might be my favorite AFI song of all time. I understand the hatred but I'll forever love it.

As “mainstream” at it was for some people you have to admit it still holds up damn well to this day. One of their best albums in recent memory for sure.

Certainly not on the same level as STS or Burials when it comes to major label-era AFI, but I enjoy most of it. I get more out of this than CL and S/T.

Love Like Winter, Affliction, The Missing Frame and 37mm are awesome. The rest of the album is horrid.
