Biography
ART GEEZAR (vocals) and ADRIAN GEEZAR (Drums), two brothers living with other 25 people in a 24/7 party in Hollywood, had no problem jumping some steps and booked the legendary Whisky A Go Go without having a band. Later they put some demos online and posted an ad that was answered within minutes, the next day JON MONTER (Guitar) showed up already knowing the songs, days later they found ARNO NURMISTO(Bass) in a little incident with the law involving some stolen beer. After several gigs in the most important clubs in LA they proved that their new band ART OF SHOCK was one of the best in town. In 2010 ART OF SHOCK, with producer IAN McGREGOR (Katy Perry, Boyzone, The Ataris) recorded their first single, YOUR BLOOD.
ART OF SHOCK is the next logical step in Rock music, mixing a wide variety of influences, from the founding fathers like Chuck Berry and Elvis passing through the 70’s greatest like Queen and Aerosmith with hints of the heaviest 80’s bands like Metallica and Slayer. ART GEEZAR is a larger than life showman with an amazing vocal range that brings Freddie Mercury, Alice Cooper and Steven Tyler to mind. ADRIAN GEEZAR is the next in line in the tradition of great Rock drummers like Lars Ulrich, John Bonham and Tommy Lee. JON MONTER is a Virtuoso guitar shredder a mixture of Yngwie Malmsteen technique with the melodic sensitivity of Slash. ARNO NURMSTO is the heavy pounding bass player that mixes the good taste of John Paul Jones with the showmanship of Gene Simmons. ART OF SHOCK also adds a wide variety of styles into their fresh and energetic sounds.
