Abel Korzeniowski's "W.E. - Music From The Motion Picture" was released in 2011 along with the movie W.E. The movie follows the Duchess of Windsor (Wallis Simpson) and King Edward VIII's (David) affair as researched by a contemporary, present day married woman also having an affair, with a museum security guard.
"People seem to only focus on what he gave up for her. But what about what she gave up?"
Abel Korzeniowski was nominated for Best Orginal Score for W.E. at the 2012 69th Golden Globe Awards, but lost out to Ludovic Bource's The Artist. Korzeniowski won the 2011 CUE Awards 2011 "Best Dramatic Score" and "Best Cue on Soundtrack" for W.E. and "Dance for Me, Wallis", the 11th track on the album. Also nominated for the 2011 IFMCA "Best Original Score for a Drama Film".
