There are multiple artists named Abysm:

1) Abysm was a death and thrash metal band from Ottawa, Canada, formed in 2006. In their brief existence, they released an official recording titled "Demo 2007" and a rehearsal. Initially limited to ten hand-numbered copies (1-10), more were pressed later. The lineup comprised vocalist Nathan Hartill, guitarist Hadrien Churchill-Joly, and drummer Joel Ladouceur. The band officially ended on December 25th, 2008, after months of member absences inducing stagnation.

2) Abysm is a death metal band with dual locations in Poland and the United Kingdom. Their discography features a 2014 demo, "Unleash the Fallen", and a 2019 EP titled "Touching the Cold Hand of God".

3) Abysm is a solo sludge metal project from Cork, Ireland, established in 2020 by Worn Out guitarist and vocalist Alexander Heinrich. Currently signed to Desert Records, the band's discography includes two EPs: "A Grim Reminder" (2020) and "Of Things Worse to Come" (2021), along with a compilation appearance.

4) Abysm is as a death metal, grindcore, and hardcore band hailing from New Zealand. All members, except drummer Dean Clinton, are former members of Psychoclasm. The lineup comprises bassist Liam Buckley, guitarist and vocalist Boyd Fransen, and guitarist and vocalist Grant Holden. In 2023, the band released the EP "Neuroses".

5) Abysm is a melodic death metal and thrash metal band based in Lafayette, Louisiana, formed in 2022. The lineup comprises bassist Andrew Benoit, drummer Brian Snelling, guitarist Toby Saltzman, and vocalist Dylan Holt. Holt is also the drummer for Perpetual Deception. In 2022, the band released the EP "Sol Invictus", featuring former Abysm vocalist Keith Boutte.

In 2024, Absym released the single "Shadow of Malevolence", their first to feature Holt in the studio.
