The song was previewed as a sample on Drake's album "For All The Dogs", released on October 6th, 2023, in the song Daylight. 10 days later on October 16th, 2023, the song released in its entirety by Adonis himself alongside a music video paired with it to celebrate Adonis's 6th birthday. The album cover for both "For All The Dogs" and "My Man Freestyle" are both drawn by Adonis.
