My parents had the 45 of this song. I fell in love with this 1 and have been an Al Green fan every since.

WBLS was the first station to play the Al-man. I remember hearing one of his first tracks and calling in and asking for more. Thanks. LeRoy

Well. let me start with WBLS (107.5 NYC) was the first to play AL GREEN. Frankie Crocker and I would sit in the studio and he played all of AL GREENS songs. The rest is history.

One of the best things I can remember about growing up.... was Al Green. All the albums, all the new CD's, al the music ! Still making us all rock to soul.

yeah, Al has a few that could be considered best ever. I never thought I could call a song the best song ever until recently....Frankie Beverly with Maze-golden time of day. I love this song though too. Such honesty and vulnerability...................

The production on Al's songs are priceless. Everytime you listen to it, you'll hear another instrument or sound layered in.
