Alan Olav Walker is a British-Norwegian record producer and DJ. He started as a bedroom producer, taking inspiration from EDM producers K-391 and Ahrix, along with film composers Hans Zimmer and Steve Jablonsky. He was better known as DJ Walkzz before signing a deal with the record label NoCopyrightSounds and releasing his hit debut single "Fade" in 2014, followed by "Spectre" and "Force" the following year.

In the aforementioned year - 2015 - Walker released his most well-known single "Faded", a remastered vocal version of "Fade", on 8 December; featuring uncredited Naustdal pop singer Iselin Solheim. The said single charted well globally, and made it as the lead single of the artist's debut album "Different World".

The album also features most of his popular songs including "Sing Me To Sleep" with Iselin Solheim, "Alone" with uncredited vocals from Noonie Bao, "Darkside" with Au/Ra and Tomine Harket and more. "Different World" was officially released on 14 December 2018, and since then, it gained billions of streams on Spotify alone; with "Faded" being the most streamed with over 1B streams.

On 26 November 2021, Alan Walker released his second studio album "World of Walker", which consists of 15 (13 songs, 2 interludes) including "On My Way" with singer Sabrina Carpenter and rapper Farruko, "Alone, Pt. II" with Ava Max, "Fake A Smile" with salem ilese, and his older unreleased song "Heading Home" with Ruben. His sophomore might've not met the same success as his debut, but it handled hits nonetheless.

In 2022, he announced his Walkerverse world tour, alongside his upcoming album of the same name which was released in two parts. Its first part was released on 17 June 2022, with its first tracks being: his remix of "Adventure Time" with Philter, "Somebody Like U" with Au/Ra, "Blue" with Ina Wroldsen, along with previously released songs "The Drum" featuring uncredited vocals by Kristin Carpenter and "Hello World" with Torine. The "Walkerverse, Pt. II" which was released on 25 November 2022, contained yet another five songs: "Extremes" with Trevor Daniel, "Shut Up" with UPSAHL, "Catch Me If You Can" with Sorana, "Lovesick" with Sophie Simmons, then later on "Ritual".

Along with each of his musical achievements, Alan Walker is also mostly known for his usual public appearance - which is him in a hoodie and face mask - as well as his logo which was his initials intertwined. According to him, it is to keep a low profile, but then also stated that the mask is now more of a sign of unity and being alike each other.

Throughout his decade-long and counting career, he amassed over 40M YouTube subscribers - notably being the second most subscribed EDM artist, and 50 billion audio and video streams.
