God damn this album is fucking good. The moment Alice Cooper band defined itself. Excellent from start to finish.

Junior: Bob Ezrin happened - he helped to focus their ideas and nail their sound.

What happened between Easy Action and this album to make Alice Cooper so great? The first two albums were decent but nothing on either indicated that the band was capable of this level of songwriting. I can never decide if I prefer this one or Killer; both are among the best albums of the 1970s.

"I need everything the world owes me. I tell that to myself and I agree." Compare this to Easy Action and Pretties for You, and it's like you're listening to two different bands. They really hit their stride on this one, producing one of the great rock albums of the '70s. I guess Jack Richardson and Bob Ezrin have to get some of the credit, but the band was in killer form and the songs are their best ever. Awesome! [2]

40 years old & still sounds great. People who like modern "garage rock" should really give this a listen. Under-rated.

My fave Coop album of them all, though all 6 LPs from 1971 through Welcome to my Nightmare in '75 are utter genius.
