Aloïse Sauvage is a French multidisciplinary artist active in music , contemporary circus , cinema and dance. Noticed as an actress in the film 120 beats per minute in 2017, she embarked on music in 2018, her original clips meeting with public success on the web . In February 2020, she released her first studio album Devouring .
In 2016, she joined the cast of the film 120 beats per minute. She plays the role of Eva, a young woman responsible for maintaining order in the meetings of the Act Up-Paris association. While the film is selected at the Cannes Film Festival 2017 , she climbs the steps wearing a costume and underlines a "political" act.
Between September 2017 and March 2018, Aloïse Sauvage released several songs Ailleurs Higher , Aphone and Winter Burning and during this period provided the first parts of Eddy de Pretto. Between September and November 2018, Aloïse Sauvage took part in the filming of the film Hors Norms by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano. Aloïse Sauvage begins songwriting and recording with music producers Josh and Le Motif of her first album layouts. In November 2018, she participated in the Trans Musicales festival where her performance was noticed. During this concert, she sets up a microphone system suspended from a rope.
In January 2019 the film Les Fauves by Vincent Mariette was released , she played Anne, Laura's cousin (played by Lily-Rose Depp ). The shooting took place in 2018 in Dordogne for three months.
In May 2019, she released her first EP Jimy .
During the summer of 2019, she participated in the filming in Israel of the series Possessions for Canal + .
In 2020, she was nominated in the Stage Revelation category for the 35th edition of the Victoires de la musique. During the evening, she plays her song Horizontally. On February 28, 2020, she released her first studio album Devouring and at the same time released the music video for her single Omowi.
Aloïse Sauvage's music comes mainly from rap. She cites Diam's or Stromae as a reference. Through the texts of his songs, Sauvage addresses love, homosexuality as on Jimy or homophobia as on Omowi (pun for “Homo, oui!” ) but also freedom or emancipation. She also discusses the absence of the father in Papa , cancer in Tumeur or depression in Et cet tristesse. For his style, Éric Bureau du Parisien finds in Aloïse Sauvage "the aplomb, the diction and the sense of the winning chorus of Diam's, the poetry and the freedom of Christine and the Queens, the afro-trap of the rapper MHD, the voice self-tuned NLP, and Stromae's art of making evils dance… ”
