Biography

Aloud can refer to two artists.

One is a now defunct French duo that produced House music. Members included Cyril Bodin and Gregory Louis.

Another is an American, Boston, MA-based indie rock band known for its songwriting and vocal prowess as well as using a two lead singer approach.

The group was founded in 2002 by Jennifer de la Osa (lead vocals, guitar, keys) and Henry Beguiristain (lead vocals, guitar, keys). Roy Fontaine (bass, backing vocals) and Ross Lohr (drums) filled out the group until 2008 and 2009, respectively.

A six-song EP was released in 2004 (The Sooner It Comes), but the group made their first real mark after releasing their debut full-length album Leave Your Light On to positive press and national airplay on college radio. Leave Your Light On was self-released through Lemon Merchant Records, a record label founded by Aloud with Leave Your Light On producer Hugh Wyman.

Aloud finished recording their second album, Fan The Fury, in New York City with Sony mix engineer Chuck Brody. Fan The Fury has received airplay on over 100 radio stations in the United States. Aloud is currently on tour nationally in support of Fan The Fury.
