While Ambrosia formed in 1970, Live at the Galaxy is their first live album ever (the second one being Standing Room Only released in 2007). The Live at the Galaxy album contains the gig having taken place on September 1st, 2001 at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana CA (USA) and was released in 2002. Musicians on it are founding members Joe Puerta (bass, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), and Burleigh Drummond (drums); also: Shem Schneck (vocals, percussion, bass), Tollak Ollestad (keys, vocals, harmonica) & Doug Jackson (guitar). The album features the hits nice, nice, very nice and holdin' on to yesterday, among other classic Ambrosia songs, and was released on the Coach House Records label.
