“Charmander” is Aminé’s first official single since releasing his sophomore album "Limbo" and its deluxe version in 2020. The song is named after the fire-type lizard Pokémon from the Nintendo game installments, trading cards and animated series.
It was first previewed by Aminé at the Governor’s ball music festival and teased with a snippet on October 22, 2021 when the song was announced as his next official release. The track is smooth yet hard-hitting, incorporating witty bars with double entendres. The song released alongside its music video the same day, in part directed by Aminé himself.
"After the release of "Limbo" I took some time to experiment and challenge myself to create in ways I hadn’t before—exploring different textures and tempos without any expectations, ‘Charmander’ was the first product of that period that felt natural while still being at a completely different BPM than any of my previous work."

Including Aminé himself, the music video stars Hanan Mohamud and Rickey Thompson—a comedian and prominent collaborator of Adam who appeared in music videos and album skits from 2018’s "ONEPOINTFIVE" mixtape. The video also notably stars Aminé’s Labradoodle Oliver, also known as Ollie.
