Biography

Amix is a one-man band from Russian Federadion playing in a wide range of genres, spanning from to , from to and beyond.

First recordings are dated early 1990’s, but Amix went public only in 2000 with an electronic album called Electroheadust2000 which was immediately published as mp3s.

The 2001 industrial album Хирург (The Surgeon) was first published seven years after recording, on 18 September 2008 as mp3s on Last.fm.

The next non-private album was the eclectic and mostly acoustic Нейролинза (Neurolens) which opens with Черная Дрель (The Black Drill), a hilarious yet somewhat scary track, considered one of Amix's best songs.

Нейролинза was followed with Dethroned (2003), a conceptual darkwave album. It was made freely downloadable five years later.

In 2003 Amix released another eclectic album, Звучание Безмозглого Мира (The Sound of the Mindless World). Some tracks contain just voice, some are acoustic, and some are purely electronic (such as the cold and melancholic White Drill). Probably a half of songs present self-mocking forms with deep melancholy within. This album was initially announced as the last one of series, and indeed, its successor saw the light only five years later.

The album Ways contains electronic material recorded in 2004–2007, including noise experiments. Freely available from the beginning.

In 2008 Amix released Chiasmi, an experimental single with chaotic and catchy drum machine and a couple of slowly mutating background tones.

In collaboration with T VI Amix recorded tracks Опустошение кругов and three versions of Walkin’ Through (2000). The latter was aired on some German radio shortly after recording, but details are unknown. In all tracks the music was made by T VI, and the vocals were by Amix.

Technostress remixed Amix's song Лабиринты и Мосты in 2001. The track, being a joke, was nevertheless included in Amix's album Песчаный Ветер side by side with the original. The album was never released to public.
