Biography
Andrea Gylfa (full name Andrea Gylfadóttir) is an Icelandic classical singer, actress and song-writer.
She graduated with the highest score ever awarded by the Icelandic Conservatory for Music and Singing.
Andrea Gylfa first came to public attention in 1986 when she was hired as the lead-singer of the band Grafík on their album "Leyndarmál" in replacement of the charismatic Helgi Björnsson. Her masterful use of classical operatic techniques on the nine tracks of the album immediately caught the public's interest.
She was the lead-singer of the band Todmobile which accomplished significant popularity during the 1990's in Iceland.
