Anthony Child is the real name of Birmingham techno DJ Surgeon. He uses this name for some of his more experimental material, such as the tracks Let's Say He's A Killer (on the Exist compilation) and YouKnowILoveYou from Faith is Fear. These tracks display the intense, claustrophobic sound he is known for as one half of British Murder Boys, while offering very little reprieve in terms of danceable beats. Child's own material is in fact often very slow and requires detailed listening to understand the layers of sonic manuipulation, more for listening in a darkened room than losing it on the dancefloor…
