it's about appropriation and using something for the image and not the substance.

poor people who try to argue if it's "allowed" for a rapper to wear skitsystem and phobia patches...haha you losers....these people try to bring the message to the public...and if it had to be through TV...who cares? FUCK when kiddies see a skitsystem patch they google that band and find out that not everything in this world is perfect and they find out more information about oppression and rasicsm and shit...that'S great in my opinion...they start to listen more genres and more underground....i love both punk/crust/d-beat AND hip hop...is it forbidden ?

yeah man that's the truth...i hate it when people who lsiten to real punk shit say "fuck hip hop" bla bla...both protest music...i see a great similarity between artists like Psycho Realm,Sick Jacken, Ill Bill and punk shit like Discharge, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Circle Jerks....the similarity has not to be how the music sounds but what the message is...why those fights between music scenes? isn't that stupid? we have to create UNITED FORCES!!! fight the REAL enemies....

the thing about hip hop and punk, is they both represent a struggle. Those two genres are the most alike, because sing, talk, rap, scream about the problems of the world. I was talking about real hip hop not, the bands that have something to do with a dance move. They both awaken the mind and make you start thinking.

So why does it matter if there are shitty anarcho-band patches in a Def Jam commercial? Are rappers not allowed to like punk? Is there some reason this boring fucking band shouldn't be exposed to the hip-hop community? Consider your aversion to the blending of punk and hip-hop and explore whether or not cultural nationalism or even repressed racism might not be the reason.

@All_Is_lost: you must be really stupid to think a band formed in 1998 (Funeral Diner), can have some influence in a band formed in 1988.... oh yeah, you like screamo that explains it.

I'm pretty sure Antischism would have needed a time machine to have a Funeral Diner influence.

Anyone notice this bands sounds kinda screamo-y at times? I wouldn't be surprised to find a little Funeral Diner influence.
