Arne Jansen born (in Wieken near Gendringen in The Netherlands) on April 26th, 1951 as named Aloys Jansen. He made a career as a Dutch folk singer, begun in an accompaniment band named 'Les Cigales' and wrote songs in German language.
In the seventies and eighties of the 20th Century he had some succesfull hits in Dutch, the biggest hit is in Dutch language in 1972 with "Meisjes met rode haren" ("The girls having red hair").

Other hits like "Zeven brieven" ("seven letters"), "Ik doe alles voor jou" ("I'll do anything for you") and "Zeg eens meisje" ("hey girl") having not so huge position like "Meisjes met rode haren".

He died on December 10th, 2007 in his farming home in Silvolde and it's it is suspected by his manager he committed suïcide because Arne was depressed for recently loosing one brother and sister. On his funeral on December 15th, 2007 one song of him brought to hearing "Schaam je voor je tranen niet" ("Don't be ashamed for your tears"), the song was set on single record by Telstar company on December 17th, 2007. His age was 56 years old.
