While I did grow to like the cover, I can understand why some people consider it disposable. Everything up to that point is solid to gold, though, and then Back in the Trash is one of their best songs, so I don't really agree it trails off at the end. Razamanaz is basically the amuse-oreille before Back in the Trash - just a musical appetizer/interlude before a more challenging song. Nothing wrong with that. I'm pretty sure no one takes The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles into consideration when thinking of Jethro Tull's best songs, but it's there, and it's an interlude in one of the band's most challenging prog pieces, and it's fucking awesome for what it is. Same with Razamanzamz, except it's thrash metal.

Or maybe drumming to a click-track. Nevertheless they sound very rigid, stiff and mechanical. You don't get that feel on the 2 previous albums at all.

You don't get this level of songwriting and riffing in the previous 2 albums either.

For sure it's a big step forward songwriting-wise and they are better players at this point, it's just the rigidity of drums that personally annoy me.

It might be that an electronic drum-kit was played too, which gives off a different vibe from the previous recordings. But since there's no further info on this, I'm just guessing.

Those riffs and those solos... The whole album is epic, indeed [2] At first I didnt like the vocals by Flemming... but damn, it's really catchy.

Still one of the best fucking thrash albums ever recorded. This is up there with rust in peace and peace sells by megadeth, and any other stupidly technical thrashy masterpiece. Just stunning. Never gets old.

this is beyond the shadow of a doubt the single greatest thrash metal album ever recorded.
