"Some Type Of Skin" is a song by Norwegian singer and songwriter AURORA, released on March 20, 2024 as the third single from her fourth studio album What Happened To The Heart?. The music video was released on the same day, its premiere was hosted by AURORA on YouTube at 18:45 UTC.
In press releases, AURORA said: "I've always been told that I should build some type of skin. I've always let myself merge too much with the world, not really knowing where the world ends and I begin. This song screams the muchness of it. And it's delicious. Being human is really delicious, even though it's more than any of us can handle. My god it's a lot."
Lines from the song's lyrics appeared in several of AURORA's social media posts in the weeks leading up to the song's release. Shortly before its release, the song was performed live at 2/26/2024 at BRITs Week and on AURORA's tour in Norway.
On March 8, the song's release date was announced and a 20-second audio teaser became available on YouTube in Decca Records regions. On March 19, a promotional clip and another audio fragment were shared.
