This album just clicked. Absolutely otherworldly beats. The textures and compositions of some of these songs is insane. Jatevee C, bladelores, 1 1 is, recks on, and YJY UX are some of my favorites

Looking back on this, I think I'm slowly coming around to this one being the best release by them from this decade. Elseq and NTS have a lot more material but the absurd length isn't really necessary. This is extremely tight, no moment wasted, no song is disposable or less than excellent. Every song works off the other and the pieces flow together in a fantastic way. The length is related to the majority of complaints with elseq and NTS, but at 2 hours this is just right between a lot and too little from my favorite group. It's perfect.

This IS a 2 disc album. Even digitally. You could see that with bladelores & 1 1 is.

this album is making me think about how I should put ae to my profile picture. And this is the 5th album I've listened to from them so far! (I really don't like Oversteps though)

With elseq 1–5 they sort of repeated their original concept for Exai/L–event. From the AAA, Sean (on how L–event is connected to Exai): "the tracks are from the same sessions but they got separated out when we compiled exai. basically it was all compiled as a series of 12" records, and l-event was the one that didn't fit, so that became a separate entity. it was originally going to come out before exai but warp flipped the release order. having said that we see l-event as interchangeable with any of the 12"s in exai (which we see as a box of four 12"s)." This might be another reason why elseq 1–5 was released the way it was. It's hard to make people see that Exai is 5EPs on 2CDs or 1DL, without explicitly telling them, which AE never seem to do, telling you what you are about to hear and how to hear it. elseq 1–5 is obviously something in five parts, with Exai it's not so clear. They told us the Quaristice flac files where "the product", with Exai it seems it was 5 12"s.

The more I listen to this, the more I love it. I think it might replace Tri Repetae at the top of my list here soon.

I'm convinced that the last few tracks on this album are some of the best things they have ever done. Cloudline, man.

How the hell is the listener drop still surprising anyone? Literally almost every album on this site is that way, either they didn't like it or didn't have time to finish it.
