"Goodbye Lullaby" is Canadian singer Avril Lavigne's fourth studio album, released on March 8, 2011 on RCA Records. The album was set to be released in November 2009, but due to bureaucracy on the part of the label, it was delayed by almost two years. The singer's departure from RCA led to her third single, "Wish You Were Here" being released on her new label, Epic. The artist described this work as "the most personal and sentimental work she has ever done". The songs on the album contain mostly stripped-down instruments like the piano and guitar. Every song on the album was written by Lavigne, with half of the album being written with co-writers.

On the music charts, Goodbye Lullaby reached number one simultaneously in eight countries, with prominence in Japan, where it sold more than 100,000 copies in one week. On the Billboard 200 chart, in the United States, it reached the fourth position with 103,000 copies, in addition to the second position in Canada. Altogether, it has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide.

The album has 3 singles: "What the Hell", "Smile" and "Wish You Were Here". The first was released on Avril's official Facebook page on January 1, 2011, and was released six days later as the project's first official single. The second single, "Smile" (Chosen by fans through a Twitter poll where it was competing with Push) was released in April 2011. "Wish You Were Here" was released as the third single from the album on September 9, 2011 In February 2012, the single "Push" was released promotionally in Japan.

In early 2019, an "expanded" version of the album was added to Lavigne's catalog containing bonus tracks from the deluxe edition and the Japanese special edition. The same happened with the albums Avril Lavigne and The Best Damn Thing.
