Biography
BD1982, born Brian Durr in 1982, draws on a constantly evolving palette of influences, ranging from Jamaican dancehall and UK grime on to 12-bit hip hop productions and Italo-horror soundtracks. BD1982 co-runs Diskotopia with Matt Lyne, who records under the moniker A Taut Line and is also a member of the Seclusiasis crew with Starkey and Dev79. BD1982 has previously remixed or collaborated with artists such as Starkey, Dev79, Kotchy, 77Klash, Kaiser, 100mado, Mochipet, Planet Soap, Smokey & Casper, Xlii and Matt B. Some of the labels that have released his music in the past, or plan to in the future, include Seclusiasis, Slit Jockey, Diskotopia, Car Crash Set, Civil Music, Vermin Street, Record Label Records, Plynt Records, Made In Glitch and B.Yrslf Division.

BD1982とは、アメリカ出身のプロデューサー兼DJであるBrian Durrのプロジェクト。A Taut Lineと共にレーベル
を運営し、2010年に、StarkeyとDev79が運営するレーベルからアルバム『Let's
Talk Math』とEP「Trails」をリリースしている。その他には、Kotchy、77Klash、 Kaiser、
100mado、Mochipet、 Planet Soap、Smokey & Casper、 Xlii、Matt
Bなどの様々なアーティストと共同制作を行い、彼らへのリミックスを提供を行って来た。またこれまでに [Car
Crash Set] [Plynt
Records] [Daly City
Records]などレーベルからのいリリースを行って来ている。2011年には よりOptimum &
Ikonika、Starkey、Slackkなどのリミックスを含まれたのEP「VHS
Nite」「DSK005」をリリースしている。現在は東京を拠点とし、以前はニューヨーク・フィラデルフィア・ニュージャージー・京都で活動していた彼のサウンドは、ジャマイカのダンスホールやUKグライム、12ビットヒップホップ、イタリアのホラー映画サウンドトラックなど、様々な音楽の影響を受けながら常に進化している。
