“BERLIN” is the third track on “iridescence“. Berlin is the capital of Germany, and BROCKHAMPTON made a stop in Berlin on their European tour. Kevin has detailed his love for Europe, and the title of this track seems to be an homage to their time spent there.
This song is also significant because it features bearface rapping the hook, when previously he was relegated to short singing parts, and the closing tracks of the “SATURATION“ trilogy.
In Dom’s verse, he says the line:
“So baby boy, what’s the occasion“
With the release of their 2021 album “ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE“, “Baby Boy” and “WHAT’S THE OCCASION?” are both names of track titles in the BROCKHAMPTON musical sphere.
