“HEAT” is the second single off BROCKHAMPTON’s debut album “SATURATION“.

The music video is one long take of the members of the boy band delivering their message straight to the camera in the middle of a South Central Los Angeles street.

During the final episode of American Boyfriend’s first season, BROCKHAMPTON’s photographer and cameraman Ashlan Grey described the making of the video, saying:

”The “Heat” video, on the fly, we walked outside and I had to set up on sticks. Like, “Okay, well, let’s try to get everybody around. Let’s do a pan shot.” We tried it. Then we’re, like, “Oh this feels… it’s not weird enough”. So then he was, like, “Fuck it. Whenever that verse is over, you pick up the tripod, and you move to the next person.””

In the same episode, BROCKHAMPTON’s rapper Merlyn Wood said:

”That day, everybody was, like, like, grabbing. Everybody was, like, angry and grabbing on each other. Be like “Yo, we gotta make some hype shit.””
