“VICTOR ROBERTS” introduces a new vocal artist into the fray of BROCKHAMPTON, named Victor Roberts. This is the group and Victor’s first collaboration together. The track was originally titled “THANK GOD.”
On the track, he delves into troubled family history dealing with police and helping someone by bringing them into their household, but having that help betrayed when that someone gets into some bad dealings with crack cocaine.
On GINGER Radio Dom revealed that Victor Roberts II is a friend that he met playing Skate 1 on Xbox 360, and that Victor first told him the story he tells on the track while playing the game. Although Victor had done production work on Dom’s earlier tracks, this was Victor’s first time ever performing.
