Acronyms is Bee vs. Moth’s second album, released September 6, 2010. Since 2008, the Austin band has worked with a permanent five-piece with the addition of tenor and bari sax player Thomas van der Brook, who also engineered Acronyms. Since the debut Bee vs. Moth album, bassist Philip Moody has also added upright bass to the instrumentation. All of the songs on Acronyms were written by Moody and drummer Sarah Norris. Norris also constructed a little-known historical instrument called the intonarumori, which was used on the album.
