Renowned for her flawless technique and innate musicality, Berta Rojas is one of the most celebrated classical guitarists in the world today. Modern Guitar magazine places her "among the top players of the day as she is both technically proficient and emotionally expressive on every piece." Praised by the Washington Post as "guitarist extraordinaire" and by the UK’s Classical Guitar Magazine as an "Ambassador of the Classical Guitar," her warmth and "heart-touching musical artistry" make her an audience favorite.

Berta Rojas is a musician who moves easily between classical and other musical genres. She has captivated music lovers on her frequent tours in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

She has appeared at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and Frederick P. Rose Hall, the ‘home of Jazz’ at New York’s Lincoln Center. She sold out performances at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, South Bank Centre in London and at the National Concert Hall in Dublin as soloist of the RTE Irish Radio and Television Orchestra. She opened the Summit of the First Ladies of the Americas in Paraguay attended by then First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Berta Rojas holds a Master’s Degree in Music from Baltimore’s prestigious Peabody Conservatory. She was acknowledged for her artistic excellence by the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, which named her a "Fellow of the Americas."

In addition to continuously enriching her own artistry and sharing her musical talents, Berta Rojas is committed to furthering the growth of classical guitar in the Americas, especially the development of young performers. She created the first online classical guitar competition, the Barrios WorldWideWeb Competition, generating a tremendous impact on the guitar world. She is also the Artistic Director of the Ibero-American Guitar Festival in Washington DC featuring master classes and concerts by top guitarists.

Berta Rojas is Paraguay’s ‘Ambassador of Tourism’ and a professor of guitar at George Washington University and the Washington Conservatory of Music in Washington, DC.
