Beth Jeans Houghton (in Newcastle upon Tyne on 3 January 1990) is an English multi-disciplinary musician, composer, artist, animator and video director who also records as Beth Jeans Houghton & The Hooves Of Destiny and, most recently, as Du Blonde.

Houghton started writing songs in her teens. At sixteen she left school and bought herself a Fender Stratocaster, which she taught herself to play. Houghton first appeared in front of an audience in 2006; her debut release, titled EP (a limited-edition 7-inch), was on Bird Records in 2008. During her career she has garnered a reputation as an antidote to other acoustic songstresses. With her alternative blend of experimental folk, Houghton has been hailed by the NME in 2008 as "a Joni Mitchell for the anti-folk generation".

With influences ranging from Frank Zappa, Vashti Bunyan, Four Tet and Love, Houghton has cultivated a sound that is truly her own. Since her first performance in August 2006, Houghton has played alongside a diverse collection of artists such as Imogen Heap, Fionn Regan, Jeffrey Lewis, Scott Matthews, Josephine Foster, White Magic, King Creosote, Alasdair Roberts, PG Six, Dead Meadow, Voice of the Seven Woods, Tom Brosseau, St Vincent, Euros Childs, Diane Cluck, Jack Savoretti and Stephen Fretwell amongst others. At theGreenman Festival Devendra Banhart invited Houghton to play one of her songs during his set on the main stage to an 8000 strong crowd describing her as, 'very lovely, a musical magician'.

Houghton has a track on ‘We Are All Circling The Stars' (compilation - Cosmos Recordings) and another on ‘Bearded Ladies Vol II' (compilation –Bird/Finders Keepers) released in 2008.

In 2012, the album, Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose, was released as Beth Jeans Houghton & the Hooves of Destiny.

During 2014, Houghton began writing and recording music under the name Du Blonde.
