The problem with most "symphonic" bands are that people misunderstand that using high female vocals and keyboards doesn't mean band is symphonic, more like it's opera. For me bands like Septicflesh or Carach Angren truly reflects what this genre is. Don't know what's with Betraying the Martyrs as I don't know their discography, but huh... if this "symphdeathcore" tag is true, I should fall in love.

Their releases have always been very mixed. There are very good parts muddled with some pretentious parts. Overall I can say I enjoy all their releases to varying degrees. Some songs are heavier than others. If you can call this heavy. The 2014 was more of a surprise for me in the change of style. The 2011 album was good if it wasn't for the muffled production. Although not sure if it compared to the songs of 2009 EP "The Hurt, The Divine, The Light." Honestly, I kinda expected The Resilient 2017 to be worse. Its very balanced and each song is listenable and somewhat catchy but not annoying.

Breathe In Life was pretty cool - heavy and well produced. Can't even make it trough the new album.. Weak and unmemorable songs. Seeing cover of Let it Go being Nr.1 in the charts just makes me sad. All the good pop-deathcore bands are going down the drain.

Haha, I was wondering if it was the same band. Breathe In Life wasn't as bad compared to the two newest releases.
