Yeah, its sad that such a great band could sizzle out, Led Zeppelin suffered the same fate, luckily Heaven & Hell was right around the corner for these guys

Absolute garbage, only the first four songs are good. Thank goodness Dio came in after this.

Title track is rather weak, but everything else is great. Not sure why this one gets so much flak. It's a perfect compliment to Technical Ecstasy, but then again a lot of people don't like that one either for some reason.

So, it seemed like every review I watched of this album was very negative. Everyone hates this album. Smoked a bowl and put it on expecting a train wreck....Well, I freaking loved it. I can see how someone who grew up with Sabbath might have been...WTF?! when it first came out but if you just listen to it without expecting to hear the first bunch of albums, this album is legit!

Very true. At one stage I was considering getting rid of NSD and TE after only a couple of listens, but I'm glad I didn't. I think they need to be appreciated on their own merit instead of expecting them to be like the earlier albums or Dio fronted ones. That bassline on Junior's Eyes...

I've no clue why i considered this one of the weakest Sabbath albums for the longest time. Obviously it isn't their best, but it's really starting to grow on me. Some really good stuff on this one, i'd go as far as to say that it's highly underrated. Still not the biggest fan of it's predecessor...

Its taken 16 years, and a million listens to the first six albums to fully understand how fantastic this album and technical ecstasy truly are. Same with Deep Purple. There are only so many years you can listen to In Rock,Machine Head, and Burn.

Better than Technical Ecstasy, IMO. Granted, it doesn't really sound like you think of classic Sabbath as sounding, but the songwriting is a good deal better than on that one, I think. I love the title track, "Junior's Eyes" and the bluesy, Bill Ward-sung (!) closer "Swinging the Chain." Underrated and worthwhile.

Well, just in the past couple of days Technical Ecstasy has clicked with me more than it ever did before, so I don't know what to think. Just a further testament of how much I enjoy this band in all its forms, I suppose.

Their worst job and i agree with it!!!! Only Never Say Die is really is on the Black Sabbath level. A Hard Road and Junior's Eyes also are great songs but that's all. The remainder are boring... 5/10

This is a great album. I love that they try to be a bit jazzy on this album. Sure, this is the closest Sabbath ever came to AOR, BUT THAT'S NOT SUCH A TERRIBLE THING. It's a fun listen, every song is good.

This one gets a lot of unwarranted hate, I think. It certainly doesn't have the "classic" Sabbath sound, but then neither did Sabotage or Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and those are pretty highly regarded by most Sabbath fans. If you can accept that it's not the heaviest album in the world and the presence of horns, pianos and so forth, there is a lot to like here. I wouldn't rate it as highly as the first several records, but I would say that it's better than Technical Ecstasy and still a damn fine album worthy of the Black Sabbath name.

This album is still badass. Def. not up there with previous albums, but still a rock solid album from my favorite band ever. I love the doomy and heavy shit as much as anyone, but here they proved versatile. 'Over to you' is my weak link

To me, this whole album is a premonition of what Ozzy would later do as a solo artist. [3] Uma bosta
