if their new album were from some random metalcore band i would find it satisfyng, but being from Bleed From Within I found it really disappointing, and I speak as a huge Era/Fracture fan. boring guitarwork and bland choruses, this attempt to follow the Architects style just doesn't fit them. overall it's listenable but i was expecting way more out of them

New album is actually pretty solid, Scott can still fucking kill vocals as I knew he would.

They turned into the millionth architects clone. Its not even bad but so by the numbers bland and boring it hurts.

New single is Architects + BMTH 100%, no sign of personality... but sounds good anyway. Seeing the pictures of the vocalist's haircut made me think about when we booked a "show" for these guys (actually, they had a show which was cancelled so we offered them to play in a rehearsal room with like 10 or 12 people there.... and it was awesome, BTW) and had to wait for him to brush his fucking hair for like 2 hours. Like FFS, Scott, you could've cut your hair by then. That was like 10 years ago... time fucking flies, kiddos. Enjoy your youth and never wait for anybody to brush their fucking hair for 2 hours. Period.

I meant that their newest material is old-school Melodic Metalcore, which isn't the most popular brand of metalcore these days. Most of the younger kids I know in the scene have no interest in that style, and most of the BFW fans I know like them because they remind them of stuff they grew up listening to. So it's just funny to me hearing someone claim to be "too old" for it.

Bro this is not melodic metalcore. New BFW are not even close to Killswitch Engage, All That Remains or Bury Tomorrow. Their new sound is more modern and I've got no bands that got similar sound... They've actually made something groovy and in some parts melodic. Btw Fracture sounds really modern and I can't say that it's a melodic metalcore. Era used to have more oldschool vibes.

They used to be one of my favorite Deathcore bands. Sad to see them becoming just another generic Metalcore band.

New single is boring and generic as fuck, sadly, and it appears that they will follow on the Fracture's style (which has nothing of style).

This band is insanely good live, if you get the chance to see them, I'd highly recommend it!

Why they took off 'Humanity' and 'Empire' from Spotify? I hate when bands do that and try to force people listen to their new stuff.

Yeah... I thought that happened for some kind of mistake but it already had been 3 months since the "mistake" happened, so I guess it's not really a mistake... This band is killing itself unfortunately.

So the bands have no decision power on those cases? lol, like the record were made by the companies and not by the bands.

This is one of the only few acceptable core bands. The previous album was preferable, but this one contains less fat/filler. The riffs hit hard, and were deliciously technical, and Scott's vocals, as always, are very powerful. I'll give this a 6/10, certainly a worthwhile listen, and this is not from a big "core" fan.

I agree that its a bit of a downgrade but just because Era was really good. imho its still very good, its groovy, has tasty riffs and catchy choruses. Simple but effective. At least I didn't have to listen to it 5 times before I liked it (as with some bands). And btw it sounds nothing like brocore.

Incredible how they are becoming more and more a generic Post-Hardcore band lol

Nah. Era is decent, but not THAT good, they began to become generic on Era. They were really good till Uprising, but after that they just went downhill...
