“War Child” is a song by the American rock band Blondie. It was the second single from their 1982 album The Hunter in a variety of countries but not in the US. It was written by vocalist Debbie Harry and bassist Nigel Harrison, who also wrote "One Way Or Another" and "Union City Blue" together. The lyrics of the song depict Debbie Harry as a "war child" and reflect on war conflicts in Cambodia and the Middle East. The song hit number 96 on Australian charts, number 39 on UK charts and number 21 on Irish charts.
