"Cotton Candy Lemonade" is the sixth track on Blu DeTiger's EP "How Did We Get Here?" and one of its promotional singles.
Speaking to Pop Crush in September 2020, Blu said:
"This song was written in quarantine when I was feeling lonely, uncertain about the future, and staying up until sunrise every night. It was so strange to have sudden nostalgia for a time that wasn’t even that long ago. I was fantasizing about a pre and post COVID time, or about a parallel universe where none of this was happening."
"I want the listeners to feel that they’re getting lost within the song itself. You’re supposed to get lost in the groove and the dreaminess of the guitars. Bass-wise, too, it’s really groovy and it has these sort of fills that come here and there."
