not everybody agrees but i think guitars nicely complement the nostalgic/hauntological style of the band. it's different from their usual stuff but it comes off as a successful and unique experimentation. the overall sound of the album reminds me of a warm springtime, in fact i find myself coming back to this every march-april. definitely in contrast with geogaddi, tomorrow's harvest and so on.

By far? I can't pick a favourite as I love them all, and none of them outshine the others imo, but if one album is much better, I wouldn't pick this one.

One doesn't need pot to enjoy this album, one needs this album to enjoy pot. Easily my favourite chill/downtempo/electronic album of all times.

I guess it's just comparatively, considering it came after MHTR and Geogaddi. It's really grown on me personally. Lowkey doesn't mean dialed in, you just have to be willing to let this one breathe.

Good to see that the fans here really like this album. I was surprised to discover that critics generally hold it lower, while still high, esteem.

This album always takes me away to another place. Sunny summer days on holiday at a remote beach house, with a hint of sadness and unease. There's so much going on beneath the surface of these songs, which rewards repeated listens. Outstanding release.

This is my second favorite BoC album (Geogaddi being my favorite). While Tomorrow's Harvest and MHTRTC are both great albums, Campfire Headphase is just really satisfying to me.

At first, I was not sure what to make of this album, but over the years, it has grown on me. I should listen to it more often.

This used to be my least favorite of BOC's first 3 LP's, in fact I would say at one point I didnt even like it. Recently, however, it has become my go-to Boards album. While Music Has the Right... or Geogaddi may be the better album, this one evokes emotions in me that the others don't

wow, I think this is actually one of their best albums. I don't feel like elaborating, but the emotion it pours into me overcomes all of their other albums for some reason

My least favorite of theirs. Dayvan to Saturday Sun is an empty wasteland of no merit and Farewell Fire is just a stretched out Corsair. Constants is probably one of my favorite BoC's though. I'm a sucker for the final act opener short ones (e.g. Olson, Over the Horizon Radar)

I used to listen to this album while running in Summer. It is my fav BoC album and one of favourites ever

I feel like this was reviewed too harshly because it's their most accessible. It contains their most beautiful ambient tracks in my opinion! (See: Constants Are Changing, Tears From the Compound Eye, Farewell Fire)
