Backslash0 - "don't really like the reversed drums" that's crazy. Every time I've heard it I only focused on the synths, didnt even notice they were reversed until you said.

don't really like the reversed drums. everything else about this track is perfect, though.

I always treat it as the final song on TCH, the airy treatment on the vocal sample used towards the end, is absolutely perfect.

This should've been on 'Headphase.' It's too good, and I'm guilty of using it in place of "Farewell Fire" O.O

At first I wanted to think of this as mostly an underwater track, as the Macquarie Ridge is mostly underwater, but the more I listen to it the more it sounds like looking at the stars at 3:13 AM on a cool breezy night in some vast expanse. The reversed drums alter your perception of time, only to make the moment more potent and whole, like after a good trip... and the stars are shining particularly bright on this night. Thanks BoC

That harp <3 This track just lifts you and keeps you hovering in the clouds til al niente... wonderful, but should've been on Beautiful Place instead of delegated to import-exclusive bonus track status... such are the hidden gems of Boards

the main melody (refering to the one that starts in the beginning) sounds just like Zoetrope (from: in a beutiful place out of the country), and the tone as well. my guess that its they sampled thier own song (zoetrope) and reversed it to make the melody for this song. cause they both sound so similiar in terms of tone and all.

I remember this was one of my first songs by Boards that completely blew my mind away. I just realized today that it wasn't in the torrent I download! Eeeek! And I'm a huge Boards fan, so this is a crime!

Love the intro. I heard this a while ago, and got it stuck in my head a little while later, and thought it was Ulrich Schnauss! Just heard it now - awesome.

Sounds like this was based on a section from William Basinski's The Disintegration Loops IV. Boards of Canada have added their own distinctive touch to it, though.
